About Chris Comeau
You can find my resume here.
My name is Christian Comeau, but people call be Chris. I come from a peaceful little city known as Clarenceville, which is about an hour south of Montreal, Canada. I’m a computer programmer, doing video games and multimedia related applications and web sites.
My interests are mainly reading, video games, programming, astronomy, the internet, and nature.
Sometimes, i manage to do some physical activities: swimming, going to the gym, hiking, alpine skiing, cycling and roller blading.
I spent most of my childhood playing video games and playing outside. First there was the Commodore 64, then the Amiga 500, the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, the Nintendo 64, and now my iBook… Not to mention all those tokens i’ve spent at the arcades! My education started at the private French secondary school E.S.M.C (which is the equivalent of High School in Quebec) where I learned Math and basic computer science, among other stuff I can’t seem to remember :-)
I then went to Champlain college, an english CEGEP, for a year in Pure and Applied Science. That’s when i first started programming. I learned by myself the C programming language and Macintosh programming basics.
I then learned about DigiPen and left for Vancouver. I studied there for a year and a half, learning a lot about video game programming. It was kinda hard to learn so much stuff in so little time, but the teachers and the students were really cool. I didn’t really like the continuous rain in Vancouver, but i did love the beach which was about 15 minutes from my place and a huge national park.
I’ve been working at mostly computer related job. I worked at a few video game companies. I also worked on a video game and web sites from my home.
I’m now living in a loft in Montreal. I am currently working at Ubisoft and i am trying to start up my own company, making fun little video games and web sites.
